John 10:27-30 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father's hand. I and my Father are one.

Praise God for His Son. Praise His Holy name. I cannot be plucked from my Father's hand. I have been given eternal life. All I had to do is ask forgiveness and believe. I have the blessed assurance. All is well with my soul. God is my comfort, my strength, and my redeemer. He is my everything.

Psalms 116:1-9 I love the LORD, because he hath heard my voice and my supplications. Because he hath inclined his ear unto me, therefore will I call upon him as long as I live. The sorrows of death compassed me, and the pains of hell gat hold upon me: I found trouble and sorrow. Then called I upon the name of the LORD; O LORD, I beseech thee, deliver my soul. Gracious is the LORD, and righteous; yea, our God is merciful. The LORD preserveth the simple: I was brought low, and he helped me. Return unto thy rest, O my soul; for the LORD hath dealt bountifully with thee. For thou hast delivered my soul from death, mine eyes from tears, and my feet from falling. I will walk before the LORD in the land of the living.

Like David, I love the Lord. I call upon Him and He hears my voice. The sorrows of death have surrounded me, yet God is merciful and answers my prayers. God preserves me and delivers my soul from anguish. He gives me rest and holds me up. I must walk in the land of the living but for a while. Jesus is by my side and in my heart. One glorious day I will go home to rejoice with those gone before me. I pray each day that the Lord will lead, guide, and direct my life so that it will be pleasing to Him. May God bless you today. If you don't know the Lord, I pray that you seek and find Him. Jesus loves you.

James 4:13-15 Go to now, ye that say, To day or to morrow we will go into such a city, and continue there a year, and buy and sell, and get gain: Whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away. For that ye ought to say, If the Lord will, we shall live, and do this, or that.

We are such creatures of habit. We take so much for granted. I think what James was saying here is that we need to understand life is short and we should seek the will of God. It doesn't mean you can't make plans, have goals, or dreams. First we should ask God if it is His will in our lives. No one knows when life will vanish on this earth. It is short no matter how long you live. The wonderful promise is that if we accept Jesus as the Son of God and believe in Him, and ask forgiveness of our sins, we will have eternal life. This life is a short journey, but eternity is forever. I don't want anyone to miss heaven.

Though he slay me, yet will I trust in him: but I will maintain mine own ways before him.

I trust God and I know He is with me. This world is full of sorrow, death, trials, and tribulations, but God is greater than all of it. He sent His only Son so that if we believe in Him we will have everlasting life. That means a life in eternity with Him. I will make it "home" someday and there will never be any sorrow, tears, death, or goodbyes ever again. I am just passing through this old world. I pray that I will see you there someday.

Jesus said: John 14:3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.

Philippians 4:13 I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.

I have to remember who holds me up and gives me strength. God bless.
